HELP SENIORS IN YOUR COMMUNITY
In order to be able to offer the best services to seniors in need, we need your help. We really appreciate those individuals who are able to volunteer for our special programs. We have opportunities for all talents and areas of special interest. Our ability to support our senior community would never be possible without the help of volunteers throughout the county. Please consider volunteering for our organization and for your community!
ADULT DAY PROGRAM
Senior Resources Adult Day Program benefits caregivers and seniors alike. You can volunteer to help out with activities, or be a companion and listener to a senior. Please call Senior Resources at (563) 263-7292 and ask how you can volunteer.
MEALS ON WHEELS
You can help seniors remain in their own homes by delivering a nutritious meal, as well as providing a friendly, daily contact. Meals are delivered to the elderly, homebound and to those unable to prepare their own meals. Please call (563) 263-7292 if you and/or your friends or business colleagues are interested in being volunteer drivers.
ACTIVITIES & SPECIAL EVENTS
Do you have a special hobby that you would like to share with or teach to others? We have such activities as creative writing, music performance, health and informational presentations and exercise programs. If travel is one of your favorite pastimes join our seniors on one of their many local day bus trips. Our activities director would love to talk with you about sharing your talents and time! HOLIDAY BASKETS
Every year during the holidays, Muscatine gives back to the older community by sponsoring senior individuals and couples with holiday baskets. These baskets are filled with such things as personal care items and household items. Help is needed to deliver baskets during the holiday season.
